Toshijiro Inagaki (1902-1963) was a Japanese artist that studied at the Kyoto City University of Arts and began his career dying cloth at the well known Matsuzakaya department store. He later specialized in Japanese katazome, a traditional method of dyeing fabrics, applying the techniques to woodblock prints. This woodblock print on paper is pencil signed and and numbered 13/900 to the lower right-hand corner. Frame measures 21.25” x 23.25” x .75” (WxHxD).
