Meet the Flipside Team

Jess Pittman, founder + ceo

BFA graduate from Herron School of Art + Design, Jess studied Sculpture and Art History. She’s a collector of cowgirl boots, Pendleton blankets, 1933 World’s Fair memorabilia, and antique photography. She loves learning the stories behind sellers and their homes; specializing in operations, organization, and customer service.

Jess says, “Each estate and client is unique, so they should be served in the same manner.”

Jordan Connor Christie, photographer + estate concierge

Jordan received her BFA in photography from Herron School of Art + Design. She has been an avid connoisseur of vintage ephemera and the best Bloody Mary in town ever since! Currently, Jordan boosts the Flipside Showroom in Fountain Square and hosts photoshoots in her spare time.

Jordan says the best compliment she ever received was: “You’re an animal in a dress, Jc.” Thank you for wearing hats.

Kendal Baker, designer + estate coordinator

Collector of antique cameras, brass knick-knacks, and all things Halloween, Kendal was drawn to thrifting by her aunt who started taking her to garage sales and on the hunt for "treasures" at a young age. Now Kendal is the Flipside graphic designer, creating marketing to help reach our customers in the best way possible.

Kendal says: “You should buy yourself a big bouquet of flowers every week and spread the blooms throughout the rooms in your house to remind you how lovely life is.”

Laura Cowman, professional organizer

Collector of PYREX, handmade quilts, vintage Christmas, and mid century furniture, Laura was as an avid Flipside estate sale shopper and quickly became a trusted and valuable employee. In addition to being the lead textile expert, Laura specializes in home organization for our sales and training the team.

Laura says: “The house always provides - remember that!”

Meagan Thomas, sales experience expert

A San Francisco Bay Area native and resident neighborhood cat sitter, Meagan is happiest when she is creating meals she’s never made before without a recipe or measuring (just an idea) in her true vintage kitchen. Meagan joined The Flipside Team in 2022 and loves seeing all our delighted (new and returning) customers’ faces on sale days.

Meagan says: Her friends better be happy with all the gifts she’s scoring for them at these estate sales ;)

Jonathan Pfendler, donation + clear out team leader

You're most likely to see Jonathan after the estate sales and during the estate clean-out. You might also have seen him directing traffic during the sales or having him help you carry a large item to your car! Jonathan has been a collector and purveyor of vintage clothing for over a decade. Whether it be clothes or furniture, he enjoys finding diamonds in the rough, bringing them back to life, and helping unique items get to the right person.

Clients are saying…

Awesome experience and outcomes! Flipside ran an in-person estate sale as we downsized our home and land. It went so well that we brought them back for an online auction for our parent’s sale as well. The owner and staff are extremely knowledgeable, helpful, energetic, and kind. Everything you want in an organization to help you through an important and emotional time in life. Highly recommend!!
— Carmen T.
I have had Flipside Estate Sales provide their service to a few clients now and everyone has raved about the high quality of service provided.
— Mike C.
Flipside was such a huge help to us as we moved out of our home of 30 years. Efficiently inventoried, priced and sold or donated everything we left. Her estimate was spot on and she left the house spotless for the sale. We sold after less than 24 hrs. on the market and Jess played a major role in making that happen. Save yourself all the headaches and work and call Flipside.
— Louise L.
These ladies are true professionals and are wonderful to work with! Their knowledge of vintage pieces, excellent work ethic and attention to detail is hard to beat. Their kindness and compassion regarding special memory items are also very appreciated! I would recommend Flipside to anyone looking for this type of service.
— Becky L.
Flipside handled our Estate Sale with professionalism and dignity! They took care of everything for us and they were a joy to work with! I highly recommend their services!
— Kathy G.
Jess and her team did an exceptional job helping clear out my parents’ estate. What stood out to me was the variety of services as well as estate sales that her business provides: post-sale donation, trash removal, cleaning, recycling, and shredding services. Fortunately, the sale went well enough that there wasn’t much left to donate, trash, and recycle. I Would definitely recommend.
— Eric Z.
