Traditional Joseon-period design featuring a drop-front lid for storing clothing or valuables. The front of the chest features hand-riveted iron mounts, and a lateral front door folds down to access the interior space. Japanese Manji symbol, located at the lower center of the chest, is a sign of prosperity and good luck. The manji is used to indicate the location of Buddhist temples on local maps and signs.
